More on What and Why
In a climate where the news tells us daily to give in to cynicism, it can be so hard to be hopeful. The Day of Hope will feature six speakers (from politics, business, music, and art) at the Yarmouth High School auditorium to share stories about hope from their jobs and lives: where they find hope and how they use it to make a positive impact. Speakers will give 15-20 minute 'TED-Style' talks, and be available to answer questions at the end. This is a student-planned event, created and organized by Yarmouth High School senior Sammy Potter.
With all the negativity in the air, the Day of Hope will be a great opportunity to hear innovative ideas.
If you love the Maine community and are eager to learn more about how to make a positive impact, come on over to Yarmouth High School on Saturday, December 2nd at 1pm. Doors open at 12:30. Proceeds for the event will be donated.
